Fitbit, the world’s leading wearable electronics company, launched Fitbit Pay in 2017. This service allows Fitbit smartwatch users to make contactless payments in stores without the need to carry cash or a mobile phone.
In 2019, the service also arrived in the Central Europe region. Our primary task was to implement banking partners in the Czech and Slovak Republics to extend the functionality of Fitbit devices. The second task was to turn B2B collaboration into new business.
In cooperation with local Mastercard and VISA branches, we approached all relevant banking partners and helped them not only with the implementation but also with the subsequent GTM (Go To Market) strategy and its execution. We launched Fitbit Pay with the following partners: 365.bank (SK), ČSOB (SK), Air Bank (CZ), Česká spořitelna (CZ), Fio banka (CZ + SK), Komerční banka (CZ), m.Bank (CZ + SK), Moneta (CZ), Poštová banka (SK), Raiffeisen Bank (SK), Slovenská sporiteľňa (SK). Together with the Slovak ČSOB, we converted the launch of Fitbit Pay into a successful Christmas campaign for the bank, to which we delivered 1000 units of Fitbit Versa 2 smartwatches.
